We sold out! 200 plus gathered at our Slow Money SoCal San Diego Gathering on January 15th to Learn, Network, and Connect at the center of San Diego’s local food and local finance movement. The courtyard at Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens was packed with great connections, new and old, and surrounded by some of San Diego’s most sustainable up-and-coming local food entrepreneurs. Once indoors, Steve Robbins, Hospitality Director of Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens gave a keynote address that expressed to all the Stone Brewing Co. commitment to sustainability and local food. Entrepreneurs, Montado Farms (San Diego permaculture farm start-up) and Happy Pantry (North County based sour-kraut makers) gave presentations about their exciting ventures to the full house. The main event was an engaging panel discussion, “Accessing Conscious Capital.” Led by Dwight Detter of Whole Foods Market, our esteemed panelists (Janie Hoffman of Mamma Chia, Douglas Raggio of Gastronome Ventures, Frank Golbeck of Golden Coast Mead, and Val Dolcini, CA State Executive Director, USDA Farm Service Agency) enlightened the audience around ethical entrepreneurship, alternative investing, and what it means to be part of a local alternative in today’s finance world.
Thank you Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens, our panelists, entrepreneurs, and all our guests for your support. Be sure to sign up for our mailing list to be invited to all our future events throughout Southern California.
